Daytime television; a place where soap operas, talk shows, game shows, and the mid-day news live. Nothing really happens... Except for today.

On today's episode of Live With Kelly and Michael, the new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro made a surprise visit. The new Camaro comes with a narrower grille and headlights, and a widened front valance opening. The hood gains a center row of vents. The biggest change deals with the rear end as Chevrolet replaced the quad-square taillights for two rectangular lamps.

The show also revealed that no big changes are happening the Camaro's trim levels. So the 2014 models will still be the LS, LT, SS, and ZL1.

We'll have more details on the 2014 Camaro tomorrow.

Not so big on the heat extractor in the hood, but the rest looks fine.

Nose is OK, I like the vented Hood and I do like the updated Rear on this, but for me the surprising steal of the 4 cars they showed was the Stingray. It looks way better than what I have seen in pictures. :P

The updates are fine as it does what it is intended to do. I suspect this is a sign the 6 gen will be less retro but would still not be mistaken for a Camaro with them moving away from some retro cues.

The hood as long as it is functional is fine I just wished it was wider but they may have has limitations. If it is fake lose it. Hood vents as like I have on my Pontiac work in cooling and stability. They also make a hell of a bug deflector if you have never driven a car with one..

As for the interior people just need to stop. With a new car coming in 2 years you are not going to get a whole new interior. It is what it is and it will change in the new Alpha. You are lucky to get this mild refresh to be honest with sales as they are old GM would have just hung on for 2 more years to the old one.

I'm not a huge fan of the new front fascia, nor the taillights. I understand that designers are wanting to pursue new themes and advance the old ones, but that has to be a gradual thing, and you walk a fine line when you try to start doing that with an exsisting model. This MCE doesn't come across as cohesive nor very clean to me. It seems a little rushed, a little messy.

As far as the hood goes, it would have been more interesting if they had done a retro modern spin on past Camaro SS hoods, like the '67-69 or '80s Z-28 hood. The front looks goofy and angry.

Just watched the live reveal. The car looked better than any of the previous leaked images/video. I no longer think that the rear update looks bad. Also, Z/28!

The rear to me shouts mid 60's Impala and that is not necessarily a bad thing.
