2017 Corvette Z06 To Become A Bit Cooler

  • Changes are incoming for the 2017 Corvette Z06 to help it keep cool

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a hot car. Both in terms of performance and problems. Motor1 reports that Chevrolet will be introducing improvements for the Z06's cooling in 2017.

Tadge Juechter, Corvette executive chief engineer said a small number of Z06 owners were experiencing heatsoak or overheating issues when running their models hard on the track. Juechter said this group was small, but very vocal with this issue.

Chevrolet says full details about the changes will be announced later this year, but did say one of the changes will be a new hood with improved cooling vents.

Very interesting, wonder what the new hood with vents will look like?

Anyone remember Corvette Summer?

Talk about massive hood vents to reduce overheating.

I believe "Corvette Summer" was made before "Star Wars" and the studio held on to it to try and cash in on Mark Hamil's new found fame.  That movie has gone the way of high school auto shop.
