Aston Martin's most questionable vehicle, the Cygnet city car has been canned after being on sale for three years. A source tells Reuters that the decision was made after the company only sold 150 Cygnets.

The Cygnet was a Toyota iQ city car dressed up in Aston Martin clothing. The brand hoped to move 4,000 units per year to "environmentally conscious city dwellers". The Cygnet was also a move to help Aston Martin reduce their CO2 emissions to meet the more stringent EU rules.

This was no surprise for that ugly turd of a car. It was an Insult to the Aston Martin Family.

Good thing it was nothing more than a dressed up Toyota as the few buyers will at least now get service and parts from your local Toyota dealer for these ugly ducklings.

150 in THREE years?!? This eclipses the Edsel, hands down.

Maybe that is why they only sold 150, to the actual Collectors and no real buyers / users of a luxury subcompact.

I'm surprised Rolls hasn't done a city car based on the Mini yet...

Hmmm....maybe one way Fiat can get more volume in the US is to do a restyled 500 badged as the Chrysler 50..
