Next-Generation Land Rover Defender Will Not Look Like DC100 Concept

  • Why The Next Defender Will Not Look Like The DC100

The next Land Rover Defender will be coming out in the next few years and it will not look like the DC100 Concept shown a few years back. According to Autocar, the DC100's was considered to be too bland to wear the Defender nameplate. Gerry McGovern, the design director said the new model will look completely different from the concept and has been 'frozen'.

The next Defender will reportedly use the platform from the Range Rover, albeit with changes to make it stronger.

If that picture is the DC100 then I have to say I like that look. Strong Solid looking SUV Brick.

Interesting to see what the new body style will be for the Defender.

It lacks that 3rd-world-country-rebel-militia/national-geographic-expedition look that the current one has.

The DC100 concept was too soft looking, looked too much like a Mini made into an SUV.

I do actually like it... it just isn't a Defender.
