A couple days ago, Lincoln posted this teaser on their facebook page, showing what’s in store for their design language. Lincoln says their new styling direction will be "forward-looking and more elegantly crafted," and will make an appearance at the LA Auto Show with the new MKS and MKT.

It’s not surprising we’re seeing these models at LA as we have seen the refreshed Ford Taurus and Flex. Sources inside Lincoln say the two vehicles will differentiate from their Ford brethren by upgrades in the suspension, steering, and powertrains.

There's stylistic teasers shots... then there's shots that could be anything.

Boring. I actually think Lincolns look decent, the styling isn't the problem. The problem is that their cars aren't that good.

It's hard to get excited over some ridges on the hood.

Disagree, The styling of recent Lincolns has been fairly cheap.

The body panels yes, because they look like they came off a Ford. I sort of like the first MKZ more than the new, but I actually like the front end and grille on the MKS. The rest of the car sucks though. But I don't see design language/theme as what holds them back, being a $40,000 Ford Fusion is what holds them back.

Looks like Lincoln took a tail lamp of a 2004 Jaguar XJ.

Well I guess my theory on full-width taillamps just got tossed out, and the Xmas lights are being strung up.

Auto styling overall is really mired in laterals.

I see it as a 2002 Ford Taurus tail light that someone took a beedazzler to.

I was thinking Dodge Neon on bling.

In any case, so far not very prestigious.
