As one of Acura's most popular models, Acura doesn't need to change much with the formula of the MDX to keep it great. Still, for 2025, Acura included some minor revisions that might be a big deal to some. Mechanically, all of the dirty bits you don't see carry over, so if you liked the ride and drive before, you will again. The engines available remain a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6, making 290 horsepower, or the stouter 335 horsepower 3.0-liter turbo V6 that comes in the Type-S. Either one is mated to a 10-speed automatic. Externally, you'll need to put the 2024 model next to the 2025 model to notice the changes. The front bumper has a new shape, the grille is wider, and there is a new mesh design. Acura has rejigged the entire trim lineup, adding a new A-Spec Advance that offers a taste of features previously only available on the Type-S. The Type-S itself has been dropped and is now only available in the top-of-the-line Type-S Advance trim. Both A-Spec Advance and Type-S Advance come with quilted leather front seats with massage, a heated second row, sound isolation, and a heads-up display. The Type-S Advance also gets a heated steering wheel and a 31-speaker Bang & Olufsen entertainment system, up from the previous year's 25-speaker ELS unit. The most welcome change is the removal of the console-mounted touchpad in place of a new 12.3-inch touchscreen. Removing the touchpad also makes more room for additional storage and a closer reach for the wireless phone charging pad. The infotainment system is powered by Google Built-In and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. If you didn't opt for the Type-S Advance trim, you'll have to make due with an 11-speaker system in the lower trims or a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen system in the higher trims. On the safety front, the 2025 Acura MDX gets an upgraded AcuraWatch safety suite with a new front camera and grille-mounted radar that improves detection range. The field of view is wider to spot pedestrians and lane markings. Range for the blind-spot monitoring system is also improved. https://dev.cheersandgears.com/gallery/album/2014-2025-acura-mdx/ View full article

@trinacriabob This is way too funny what folks here are doing with their Tesla's. https://www.news.com.au/technology/motoring/motoring-news/why-do-tesla-owners-rchange-their-badges/news-story/36f97d5ade14e330524af4024dd7ed7 At least the person was complete in making sure all details were there. SkyActiv -Check, CXs - Check, Logo - Check, Mazda name across trunk lid - check Excellent attention to details. Wonder what the front looks like, big Mazda Logo too? Built out of a Prius: 🤣 No Suprise that the companies might have to die again as they cut employees and funding from the parent owners is cut off. https://electrek.co/2025/02/27/another-luxury-automaker-cuts-jobs-after-failing-to-keep-up-with-evs/ https://www.carscoops.com/2025/02/stellantis-pulls-1-5-billion-investment-from-struggling-maserati/

It was sad..I've seen him in many movies..great actor. Bonnie and Clyde (his first role that got attention), French Connection and French Connection Il, Narrow Margin, The Firm, Twilight, Night Moves, Superman and Superman II, The Package, Mississippi Burning, Absolute Power (with his contemporary Clint Eastwood), to name a few...

While I'm as angry over the current state of things as anyone, I'm going to gently steer the conversation away from politics given the no-politics rule we've had in place for years. If you've got something political to talk about, it must be related to the car industry somehow.
  19. This is what over taxed ATC looks like. Two minutes and worth every second....

I wonder how Tesla owners who are "progressive" reconcile their ownership with having bought one. A college friend has 2 Teslas in the garage. He raves about them. He has a cheaper one (3, ?) and the S, which is their only "attractive" vehicle, IMO. He had to stomp on it to show me how fast it is. I have yet to ask him to weigh in on Musk and how it might affect his ownership trajectory.

Do you recognize this person? This is the teenaged Gene Hackman. Okay, it takes a bit to see that. I saw the headline. Is this for real? They'll be investigating this and hopefully get the truth. I get it that he was a great actor. I didn't see many of his films. I was young when I saw "The French Connection" and I didn't understand anything about the topic, and that lingo, so I should probably see it again. I saw him in "Hoosiers." I can't remember any other movie featuring him. I didn't know he was born in dusty San Bernardino, CA, which would have been backwater at that time. He was in the womb during the stock market crash of 1929. I applaud him, and all stars who leave Hollywood to seek quieter, unpretentious lives. This is a tragic end, though. RIP, Gene Hackman

  23. Good news for a change.... Music for a better end to Friday.
  24. Good for Canada, every other country should do this.
  25. Yeah, his wasn't rental spec, but whatever the top trim was. So, it had nice leather wrapped stuff and the seats were surprisingly good. The only reason he got rid of it was because it had 120k miles and some of the rubber bits in the HVAC system degraded and melted together so he only could use defrost mode and it was going to be $1,000 to fix. He still regrets not just fixing it. He's in a Wrangler now dealing with a rough idle and death wobble.
  26. Who on earth didn't see this coming?
  27. My sister had a 1st gen..it was meh.. I did drive a rental Dodge Nitro (which was based on the 2nd gen Liberty IIRC)--the exterior was painfully ugly...and was very cheap and nasty gray inside. The Daimler-Chrysler era was not a good period for Chrysler interiors in general, IMO.
