July 4, 200619 yr Goshen is trouble Who can we personally blame for Acura's 19.4% drop this month? I can hardly call Ghosn trouble over this considering where Nissan was when he rescued it.
July 5, 200619 yr Well, when a car company has new products less than 8 weeks away, what will smart buyers do? Buy a soon to be dropped model or wait? So, a big DUH! It is not as if the 2006 Altima, Sentra, and Max are a year old designs losing sales, they are at the end of the line.

No one ever makes this excuse for GM, it's funny, because GM's launch vehicles are doing very well. The only thing doing bad are those at the end of their lifecycles.
July 5, 200619 yr Maybe we could lend them Buickman Excellent idea! Goshn didn't personally oversee ANY of the products that went on the market during his "turn-around" He has much less influence on products at infinit and renault, than wagoner and lutz do at GM. Products he "might" have influenced are the new altima, sentra, and g35. And i can't say his magical touch has helped.
July 6, 200619 yr Author Who can we personally blame for Acura's 19.4% drop this month? I don't know who's in charge of Honda, or even if one man has so much authority. Either way Honda doesn't have a media darling. No doubt Honda managment has become incompetent. I can hardly call Ghosn trouble over this considering where Nissan was when he rescued it. Nissan always had first rate engineering talent. Goshn was always about short-term gains. http://today.reuters.com/business/newsarti...-IndustryNews-4
