July 6, 200619 yr This car was one of the first mass produced vehicles to have headlight washers. The headlight washers came optional if you ordered the optional headlights & appearance pkg. Also in the same model year this vehicle had an optional "liquid tire chain" feature which was short lived but very revolutionary iin its day. What car/model year am I talking about?
July 6, 200619 yr I know my 1967 Camaro had a liquid traction option, but I don't think headlight washers. Though my RS did have hide-aways.
July 6, 200619 yr Well, I'm going to guess 1969 camaro. From what I have gathered, 69 was the first year for the liquid tire chain, and from what I read, 69 was the only year with headlight washers. EDIT: It came with the Z22 rally sport package. Edited July 6, 200619 yr by Nick
July 6, 200619 yr Yeah, everything I can find about it says 69, but I know that I had an insert for my 67 that showed it. Maybe it was a "dealer" installed thing.
July 7, 200619 yr Author V75 Liquid Tire "Chain" - An option on '69 Camaros that provided a dispenser with nozzles located in the rear tire wheel wells that would spray a special traction-enhancing liquid on the rear tires to help traction on snow and ice. Quite rare. The 1969 Camaro was the only model year to have headlight washers. The system was operated by vacuum much like windshield washers. The headlight washers were included with all Rally Sports and could be purchased separately as RPO-CE1
