July 14, 200619 yr After years on driving with my elbow on the center console cover in my Regal, the vinyl now has a dimple/tear about the size of a quarter. Incidentally, it's burgundy colored vinyl. No big deal, but if it's a cheap fix, I'll do it. The console cover comes off so it can be taken somewhere. What's usually involved in something like this? Is it expensive? I know that, when used cars come in, they are accustomed to making these fixes.
July 14, 200619 yr find the part at a junk yard I replaced a center console cover, shift nob, cupholder, and headlight switch in my '94 Cutlass from a parts car at a junkyard. Looked perfect when done. Edited July 14, 200619 yr by Oldsmoboi
July 14, 200619 yr Yeah, considering its not a tear (something that could be glued back together. Go scour your regional junkyards for a cover (one of the few parts I'd trust from a junkyard, but that's another story).
