Not really...they're relatively simple. I thought this was a turbine when I first looked at it. I don't think it's a steam engine or a Stirling engine, so that left me with a gas turbine.

i dont know but to me it looks like its a steering device for a Aqua car like bow steering on big ships. But im clue less doesnt look like a turbine to me.

You got me thinking....it could be an electric drive. It could be a drive axle.

sterling or a early attempt at a hybrid.

it's the cooling fans that get me, old electrical equipment was notorious for the amount of waste heat they generate.

but the fans could also be used for the "cool" side of a sterling.

look at how every thing looks water tight tho. look at what appears to be the alternator on belt drive. its fully enclosed. Im firm with my guess on a Aqua Car. so what if im crazy, since that doesnt look like any electric drive i have every seen.
