July 16, 200619 yr I have just found out that my 66 buick electra isnt a convertable...its a 2 door hardtop. I'm leaving tonight to go fix it up
July 16, 200619 yr A two-door hardtop instead of a convertible?! Well $h!, I know I'd end my life if I were you; that's terrible! Photos please!
July 17, 200619 yr Author I know....how spoiled of me...im here at my godfathers....the car was beautiful for the moment i walked by it...barely any rust only on the back corners of the car
July 17, 200619 yr Author been up since 6 am washing that monster! So much dirt! Im tackling the interior later...it reaks of mildew. but its a beauty. pics coming later
July 17, 200619 yr Author due to the fact that this computer has dial up...i need one of u guys to send me a message with your email address so u could post the pictures for me. thanks
July 18, 200619 yr Author Well, after replacing the battery, it runs! It roars! but...the brake is jammed. so we have to figuer it out...but it does sound good.
July 19, 200619 yr I wouldn't kick it outta bed for eating crackers, but it's a tiny bit less cherry than I was expecting. Duct tape over leaking window seals always makes me shake my head, but whatcha gonna do? Still, real solid. I love finding them this way- solid and original. Looks like a lower-optioned car; a 425 would seem unlikely. Still, a damned fine cruiser- take care of her and she'll take care of you.
July 19, 200619 yr Author Well we bought a kit yesterday to repair the holes around the rear window. But the seats are like brand new. I'll take some more pics later. And yes, it seems to be a lower optioned car, but i am happy for that because who knows how the power window moters wouldve functioned after 40 years. Plus it roars like a lion. My godfathers friend said that the engine was like brand new considering its got under 15k miles on it. And everything is original. Edited July 19, 200619 yr by Ravenfreak13
