Hi all. I am new to the site. I found a link to this place when I was on wikipedia looking up some Buick stuff.

Since all of you seem pretty knowledgable I was hoping someone could confirm or deny a rumor I keep hearing....

Will the 2007 Bucik LaCrosse have the portholes? I am getting ready to buy a LaCrosse, but if the '07 has the portholes I will wait until those are out on the lots. One dealership said no, another said yes, and another still said only on the V8 Buick LaCrosse Super - which was the first I have heard of that car.

Does anyone know for sure? I was thinking of getting and '06 LaCrosse in August because you can get great deals in August / September... but now that I hear about '07s with portholes I would rather wait and get one of those... that would look so much more Buick like.

I believe the LaCrosse Super will be the only LaCrosse receving ventiports, though I'm sure you're aware aftermarket ventiports are available for about $35 a set (three).

Its a special adhesive of course, but yes, essentially glue-on units. I've seen quite a few LeSabres, pre-03 PAs, and a handful of Regals with them and they range from great to lousy depending on who did the work. You can tell when someone sticks them on without trying.

Check out the thread just below this one, that shows current LaCrosses with portholes, added by the dealer.

I'm told by my dealer friend that the plan is that all Buicks will have portholes, but it's not clear when.

I saw an 07 base LaCrosse the other day and it did not have portholes. i would venture a guess that the 08 Super will have them.
