    There's always been the underlining jokes about the less-than masculine qualities displayed; however, not that this makes any difference, it's quite sad that it was kept under wraps just to keep the band's popularity from falling victim to the homophobic stereotypes. This made me wonder further that their popularity might have increased had Lance come out sooner.

    We have 2 Spanish speaking architects at work and we needed to figure out how to say this in Spanish. It would be:

    "Comedora de Alfombra" (Eater of Carpet)

    This is hilarious. We will pop our heads into each other's offices as we walk by and say "A-l-f-o-m-b-r-a" in a very stern and drawn out manner and others have no clue who we're talking about. We still periodically send e-mails with this message to people who have left our firm but were in on the joke.

    Not guilty by reason of insanity is a lot harder for people to get than most people realize. You basically have to prove that you didn't know right from wrong at the time of your actions, such as if you're in a psychotic state. Even then, she's still got to spend an indefinite amount of time in a mental hospital, where it'll be extremely difficult for her to prove that she's no longer dangerous. Plus, even if she does manage to get out eventualy, the stigma that will follow her the rest of her life won't exactly be a walk in the park. So it's not like people who get an NGRI sentence get off scott-free.

    Fun side note: during the hippie years, the definition of NGRI was a lot more liberal, also including irresistible impulse as a reason, but then John Hinckley had to go and ruin that for the rest of us. <_<

    I really could care less if Lance Bass is gay or not. He's with the Amazing Race star who won his season and shouldn't have, IMO. At least they both have some money.

    I wonder if he could pass his gayness on to someone who, um, I wouldn't mind having it.
