ADM is over $10k on average anyway....better that GM should get it than the dealers....

our management wont mark em up more then 75$

Yeah, Enzl, God forbid if the dealers actually make money on something. Our dealership does not sell over list, but then the couple of Z06's we actually sold last year won't make or break the dealership anyway.

Not that I want to get into a huge debate about this, but remember that the MSRP is just that SUGGESTED.

No customer ever complains when a dealer makes $300 on a Cobalt, so why would people compare if some rich idiot pays $5k too much for a Z06?

I work for a large dealer group, so I'm not suggesting dealer's not make a profit...but with customers paying an average of $10k ADM, shouldn't GM get its share if supply/demand econmics are so obviously at work?

Or increase the supply so dealer's won't have to wait 5 months to get one and, therefore, be tempted to over charge.

I wouldn't be eager for GM to price itself out of the market. The '06 was already $90k (Canadian). The Corvette is rapidly becoming a rarity in the Toronto area as (snobby) people with $100 grand to spend would rather do it on a Porsche or BMW.

people who spend 100k on a BMW or Porsche are paying more money for a lesser car... at least on athletic terms.

No, don't increase production. Not everything should mass produced. Keeping an item rare increases the percieved value of the item.

To put it another way, would you rather sell two Corvettes with $9000 ADM or 3 Corvettes with $6000 ADM all else being equal?
