August 12, 200619 yr Wonder if GM will make a hybrid version, it really needs one to compete with Camery and Accord.
August 12, 200619 yr I think that they will since the Malibu is supposed to be the new big, FWD car to compete with the CamCord. I don't see why they wouldn't build one since we're going to be getting Hybrid models of other vehicles too.
August 12, 200619 yr Author I just answered my own question after watching this video... http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Gener...rticleId=116460
August 12, 200619 yr i thought it was pretty much a sure thing.... and the aura green line power train is listed on media.gm under powertrain as an 07 model powertrain...... anyone else notice that?
August 12, 200619 yr The AURA GL comes out in March (or at least starts production then). I'm pretty sure the Malibu gets a mild hybrid (like the AURA GL) and a full hybrid (with the new two-mode system) later.

August 14, 200619 yr The next Malibu is going to be a crazy success. GM is about to do quite well with this platform. If the Malibu has those sexy looks and gets the reviews that the Aura has been getting for it's chasis and drivetrain so far. Could it be possible for the cars to combine to rival the CamCord sales numbers? Is this the same hybrid setup being used on the upcoming Vue GL? Does the hybrid system add any extra performance to the engine?
