August 17, 200619 yr a 2007 focus has about the same mpg 181572[/snapback] It's very close to the Yaris and equal to or better than the xA & xB. This is definitely a step in the right direction. I like the way the 2007 looks too.
August 18, 200619 yr I think the Aveo will do well. IMO they styling is conservative yet attractive. It's one of those which I don't mind seen driving in. Yet the the Yaris suffers from the same problem as the Civic: wierd styling. The faux macho style doesn't work well, at least for me.
August 18, 200619 yr edmunds story Edmunds has another story up on the updated Aveo. It's good to see GM not ignoring the growing market of small cars and I am pretty surprised how low the price is considering the interior looks great for a car in its class. I priced one up and still came under 15k for what i wanted. The Honda Fit is also a cool car I would consider buying in this segment. Those magic seats are wonderful.

August 18, 200619 yr That's the only disadvantage to this car. If those numbers could be brought up to 1-2mpg within the class leaders, this car would be the new class leader based on the twin spires of a not looking bland and not being strange.
August 18, 200619 yr Well, I've now seen two in person and I must say that while it looks decent, it looks top heavy. Damn, it's taller than an Impala and it has freakishly small looking wheels. Ew.

The interior, on the other hand, looks great, and the exterior changes modernize it a bit, although I am still not a fan of Altezza taillights, even after all these years.

No. It might get a smaller engine for those who are super worried about it, but for the low price, one should be able to afford gas...

It does look tall-I compared it to a cobalt next to it-It's taller than the Balt... The taillights don't bother me-in fact-I think it gives it kinda a "euro" look to it.

August 19, 200619 yr The height makes for much more practical room in such a small car. A taller person has little trouble fitting inside. You can thank the Toyota Echo for sparking the most recent trend in taller roof lines for the smaller-car.
August 21, 200619 yr Using autotrader I found a Silver 07 and I if I had to get a sub-compact this would be my choice and not because I love Chevy. here
