80s RWD V12 GM vehicle?

Featured Replies

What RWD car was used to test out possibilities for a mid to late 80s GM vehicle to have a V12 sitting in it? I will provide pics afterwards. It is indeed a neat vehicle.

I seem to recall reading about a Suburban with a Falconer engine in a magazine..

is it the caddy that was the testbed for possible cylinder deactivation?

I'm stumped....

Camino LS6 got it. It was indeed a Caprice Classic. I have pictures from the GM Heritage Center where it resides. It was a project to test the possibilities of a V12 RWD Sedan.

I have an article about that car. GM nicely removed the BMW badge from the middle of the engine.

Wow... can't beleive I did not remember that one.

My idea has always been to integrate a BMW M3

chassis/driveline with a '69 Camaro skin &

interior just to freak out the Tuner crowd. This

Caprice is also a great sleeper in that sense.

A Camaro M3 would be cool..

An outrageous thought I've long had is to build a '90s Mustang Cobra with a European turbo diesel and AWD...
