The foglamp trivia reminded me of the light-hating misplaced member who couldn't find the NHTSA dropbox or BlueOvalNews.

I hear South African elections are being dominated by Nelson 'Candela' Mandella this year.

That is a gorgeous Packard.

New cars do have to much candle power

People do use to many lights

I dont get the point ?

Who the hell was Rubenoff ?

Rubenoff tried starting a campaign against daytime running lights, saying that they blinded drivers on the opposite side of the road. :stupid:

There not blinding, just distracting and :stupid: to have on during the day.

Day = sunlight = best vision known to man.......... why jumble it all up ?

soft touch liberals figureing out ways to complicate life daily, answering questions no one ever asked, idle minds dangerously at work. Lets just reduce speed limits to 10mph mandate 3 full ft of closed cell front and rear and get it over with..............

When I glance around quick in traffic to see whats comin, I want to see the big picture of whats comming..............not "oh look theres a bunch of lights commin, somewhere, I dont know for sure, just lights."

oh yea, I feel so much safer

Ummmmm DRL's DO offer safety when the suns so low it cast shadows over oncoming cars. Drive alot of rural traffic w/ windt roads during the evening and you'll understand what i'm talking about.

I understand. Ive always been a very aware driver with very alert vision so many of the challenges some drivers confront never entered my mind. Might just be like FWD in the winter. Many of us could get by without FWD but its a good thing most have it when it snows around these parts. 34 years driving, no incidences with traffic. I did fly off the road a few times in winter with a RWD ...............

Seriously, I have never had a problem seeing traffic during the day and find this new distraction very frustrating and it obstructs my view of the beautiful world by throwing unnatural glowing objects into the otherwise sweet scenery. Thats just an opinion based on my observation. Seems like I should be able to get some bleeding hearts soccor mom commitee to do some lobbying in order to get my unobstructed scenery back.........doesnt it ?

So clampon that air bag wheel tightly with both hands at 10=2 and look for those shiny objects and you'll be alllllllright ! :ohyeah:

 :AH-HA_wink: ............................ 8)

I think I see what your issue is...steering wheelsshould be held at 9 and 3. Maybe making this minor adjustment will help you understand the necessity of DRLs.

By the way, Fly...nice pic. The thing that does it for me is the dude's pointing.

No ! steering wheels should be able to be held anywhere, comfortably however.......

Ok OK , back to older open steering wheels and live with the DRL ?

YES a fair compromise

but now what do I tell that bleeding hearts soccor Mom commitee ? They have a lot of time into all that whining and crying down to city hall, what ever shall they find to cry about next ?

Hahahahaha I was joking...I will say I am surprised that air bags haven't been made more compact in steering wheels.
