Keeneland Concours d'Elegance Part 2

Featured Replies

The 3rd annual Keeneland carshow was today. Featured make was the Corvette, all makes and trims welcome for the Corvette, so there were supposedly over 200 Vettes at the show. I took pictures of the classic ones, since any of us can usually walk outside and see a C4/C5/C6. Strangely, there were no C6 Z06's, which struck me as odd. Also at the show were 5 Corvette Concepts on loan from the GM Heritage Museum: Mako Shark, Mako Shark 2, Aerovette, Sting Ray 2 and Sting Ray 3. BEAUTIFUL cars. Here are my pictures!

AeroVette ! Coulda shoulda woulda........................didnt !

Low production, high dollar car could have produced some money to pay for all that R&D and man hours.................but Nooooooooooo

Aerovette looks great in pics, but GD it's a huge car. Look at those overhangs- that's enzo territory! I still love the exterior, but it would need more work & dieting to be a 'coulda', IMO.

The overhangs are left over Mako Shark stuff. Still its better than a Bricklin or Delorean by far. I dont think Enzo has any inbalance in proportion to this car.

I would have loved to see this show. Those prototype Vettes mean as much to me as specific Ferraris, Jaguars and Aston Martins.

In fact ! Ya know what ? Im seeing more than a bit of Dean Jefferies Toronado custom here, think about it.
