August 27, 200619 yr Long story short: -Let sister borrow car today. -Doors already unlocked when she goes to open it. I think nothing of it at the time. -Used the car later in the day and upon coming home notice that my CD case is missing. -Tear apart the interior to no avail. -Conclusion: Someone entered my car the previous night and stole my $h!. I could've sworn I locked the damn thing when I parked it for the previous night. Result: ~$150 worth of CDs gone. So goddamn pissed right now...
August 27, 200619 yr That sucks... I learned to leave just the burned copies in my car now... And, of course-My buddy found that they take those too....
August 27, 200619 yr I leave everything in my car hidden. My car has so many secret storage compartments. Otherwise, living in Brookville, I haven't had any trouble with stuff getting stolen in the first place.
August 27, 200619 yr Wow... that sucks. Thieves get their bad karma eventually though. Esp. scumbags who steal something like that.
August 27, 200619 yr Almost 2 years ago, my friend moved my car into the street and left it unlocked. At 4:13AM, Max, my collie jumped onto the edge of my bed and started growling out my window (it faces the front of the house), and I of course said, "Max, down, quiet." and dismissed him. Sure enough, they ripped my stereo out of my dash (broke the dash panel and plastic covering the gear selector gauge), and stole my CD player. The joke was on them though... the CD player didn't play CDs anymore! haha! Although my dash has been ruined since
August 28, 200619 yr I work at Best Buy and have a BB Credit card with cardcare so I just put all my CDs on that. Cardcare covers theft etc for 99c on every $100 balance, so if somebody breaks into your house and steals your laptop you get back all your money. What a lot of people don't realize is that it covers EVERYTHING you put on the card, so every CD I buy is fully covered for theft. All I have to do is file a police report if they are ever stolen from the car and I will get all my money back.

At least with the car unlocked they didn't have to break your window to get at the stereo .
August 28, 200619 yr This is one of the reasons I am for vengeful car alarm systems. Maybe one that'll plug up the cars exhaust, lock the doors and pump the exhaust into the car while the thief is up to no good. Or how about a system that locks him in with the BeeGees playing on repeat and have him kill himself for you!

August 28, 200619 yr Sorry for the unfortunate, but it could've been worse. My pa's 626 was stolen about a few years ago. The thieves took it to a parking lot to steal other cars. They failed and was spotted by the parking security. They drove off and torched the car to remove evidence. Nothing was left of the car. Edited August 28, 200619 yr by ToniCipriani
