Sketch Competition #9 - Cadillac BRX

Featured Replies

Welcome to Sketch Competition #9!

As of late, there have been many rumors concerning what we'll call B-Series Cadillacs, namely the BLS and BRX. While the future of an American BLS is up in the air, the presence of a smaller, sub-SRX crossover carrying the BRX nameplate is more certain. Word has it that it will share some subcomponants with the next-generation Theta VUE and Equinox, but beyond that, who knows...?

Well, maybe you do.

Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to design Cadillac's BRX crossover. Your sketch should include at minimum 2 (two) of the following:

-3/4 Front View

-3/4 Rear View

-Interior View

Remember, people will be voting based on the overall presentation of your entry, so the more views, the better, including ones not specifically listed above. Also, if you want to include special features, by all means point them out!

Aside from 800x600 size guidelines, remember this must be a Cadillac vehicle. All indications so far point to a size smaller than the SRX. Look at crossovers such as the Acura RDX and BMW X3 for sizing. Interpretation of Cadillac design cues is entirely up to you. Be creative and include some great innovations befitting Cadillac if you can.

The winner will recieve a Cadillac-related prize!

**DEADLINE EXTENDED!!**

Deadline is Friday, Sept 15th @ 11:59PM your local time.

Good luck! :CG_all:

ok, im in this one. I know my entry for the last one was very pathetic, i forgot to change the emblems! :banghead:

ill try to come up with something better.

ok, here's my entry. Im glad im the first one, because it turned out kinda "generic" cadillac. a bit SRXish in the front too. Also, since the SRX is already not a huge vehicle, why bother with a BRX anyway? i mean it was kinda hard making a vehicle smaller.

here's another one, a bit more dynamic this time:

hooray!! haha that was fun... i went a little CTS with it... aggressive is always good

Wow, 2 more weeks before the deadline! Got my 3/4 view done a couple days ago, just need to do an interior shot of somekind... maybe a rear end shot.

I see the rules state 3/4 rear end shot, but can I do a straight shot at it?

Better than my last couple of entries.

Well this is all I have so far... proabably a little too rounded for a Cadillac but that's just how it came out.

EDIT: Ok, I tried to fix the back end so it didn't look so much like a minivan, it's still not great but a little better. I'll see if I can tweek it some more.

Buddy, that is a really well drawn picture of a Cadillac van.

Yeah it was turning out pretty decent until I did the ass end... and it does have a minivan look to it unfortunatly. Not sure if I can redraw the rear without screwing up the whole pic or not.
