Newbie Chevelle Fan!

Hello, my name is Gabe, I am 14, and I love CHEVY! My father owned numerous Chevrolet Chevelles, and was a muscle buff, so its no wonder I like the Chevelle! But I am depressed that no such beast made it to the 1978 redesign :(. But of course It probably would have been a stripped down Monte Carlo,or would it have been the basis for the Monte Carlo?(How Ironic! The Monte was a plusher version of the Chevelle!) In my scenario, the Heavy Chevy would have continued on, and eventually, the Monte Carlo would take the long walk in 1981, and the proposed Monte SS would have become the Chevelle SS! :pokeowned: The Chevelle would have gotten its own dedicated platform, the S Body, which is basically a rear wheel drive W Body, and would be a rear wheel drive Lumina coupe with MUSCLE  ! I am about to make a model of what I think an 86 Chevelle SS would look like, I am painting it red with two black stripes like my dads! The model will be a fusion of the Heavy Chevy kit and the 86 Monte kit! Will be posting pictures by the end of September!

My first car was a 1978 Malibu Coupe, I found the buld sheet for it and It said 1978 Chevrolet Chevelle

I dunno man. Although they weren't very muscular from the factory (how many 350/4 speeds were built?), the '78-'81 Malibu coupe is gaining popularity among rodders for its extremely friendly, proven design and trim size. Any number of small blocks will fit, no problemo. If I had money, I'd have one built.

Of course, the '64-'72 are classics, but don't discount the customizability of the late models.

i absolutley love the 68-72 models the best... but i have seen so many beautiful 78-81 two door models..... i love them!

Dude, you seem cool, but your avatar and sig scream Playskool. :D

Welcome aboard. (And as for your S-Body theory, research the 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Intimidator concept and see which set of wheels were being driven.) 8)
