Austin Powers song???

Featured Replies

What was the song called that was in one or more of the Austin Powers movies when they dance in the beginning? I know it was a One Hit Wonder who produced the song in the early 90s. Does anyone know the name or artist?

Quincy Jones was no one hit wonder, thats for sure. Funny how some of these guys usually come in under the radar. Kinda like Mutt Lange.

When my school band went on tour, our instructor always kept this gem on hand.

Of course, we totally sucked at all the other songs in our repertoire (George Gershwin would knife us to death if he could), but we'd whip this ditty out at the end of every concert and the audience magically forgot how much we sucked!

between all his tunes and shania twain, mutt sure has done quite well under the radar.

He did AC/DC, was the source of the once "new" sound of Def Lepard, I think even Foreigner but I might be confused and would not admit to any relations to Foriegner if I were him or anyone else........... Did you know he does back up vocal on Shanias albums..........yep, you can hear him, nothing special, subtle, thats what made him so good, its what you can't hear, less is more.

What nationality is Mutt?

Yes it was Soul Bossa Nova. Somebody did use the same tune in one of their songs in the early 90s. It was a really annoying song because it repeats a phrase over and over. I was looking for Soul Bossa Nova though. Thanks!
