St. Pierre & Miquelon

Featured Replies

Who ever has dreamed about going to Europe, at the fraction of the price, do what I did, go to the French-owned island of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, right off the Grand Banks of Newfoundland... In early August, my girlfriend and I took a four day trip out to St. Pierre, which is a series of three islands with a population roughly 7000. The main island is St. Pierre, which we stayed at...

Here are some pics...

Take off from Toronto at 7:20 am, love the smog coming in from the States (at least 50% of it)

Damn...you saw it before I realized my mistake and had a chance to edit it. :banghead:

How rude of you. :P Peugeot, Citroen...its all same...sort of. (Did you know both companies get a version of the new Mitsu Outlander?)

He-he... those goofy-assed looking European cars.

Thanks for sharing though, nice distraction from my day.

I'd love to visit there, if only to see what an accident

between an Avalanche and a 1.2 liter Peugeot looks like.

griffon, that's a Kia Sorrento, not a Lexus RX 300 in the pic with the Avalanche.

I like those funky Citroens. It's interesting to see the smattering of U.S. vehicles: the Sport Trac, Grand Cherokee, and Plymouth Breeze.

Also regarding the comment about the smog in Toronto coming from the U.S., it has been noted in the news recently that some of China's smog is reaching California. Pretty soon everybody will be choking on everybody's elses' smog.

I didn't mean to offend you guys living in the States, but it's been noted that a little over 50% of the smog coming into Canada is from the States... It was largely blamed on the U.S's lackluster pollution controls, and Bush's arrogance of not doing anything about it (sorry to get political)... anyways... if you want info on the island... I will give you a series of links:

Actually this pic was taken at a Peugoet dealership...

at 9 o'clock at night... the days are longer because of the higher elevation on the earth...

Ven must be thinking "Man, that looks dark for 9 pm." Pretty much all of North Dakota, Montana, Washington, a big chunk of Minnesota, and part of Michigan and even Maine are just as far north. Which begs the question - who on C&G lives further from the equator? Any advances on 47 deg 30 minutes?
