September 11, 200619 yr Tomahawk Not Getting the Axe Far from it. In fact, DCX announced that they are going to put this into production (albeit limited). The pricetag will be in the quarter-million dollar range. So to help buyers to swallow the premium price, the Tomahawk will sold under the Chrysler premium brand. September 11, 200619 yr only $250,000? that's gotta suck for the saps that already bought the $500,000 non-running model
September 11, 200619 yr LOL, they're selling it under Chrysler because it's more premium? Like anyone cares what brand it is, it's a bike with a huge engine...
September 11, 200619 yr That's crazy. Oh, maybe it'll help make people want to pay attention to Chrysler! Errr, no, nevermind..
September 11, 200619 yr Because it totally fits in with such premium vehicles as the Voyager and Asspen! $h!e... A dollar says it'll have the same air vents or materials (or something) as the Caliber dash Edited September 11, 200619 yr by Captainbooyah
September 11, 200619 yr Well, now. Can I get a "How pointless is that?" over here? I'll admit, I wish GM had some of DCX's beancounters. V8, rear-drive G6 anyone?
September 12, 200619 yr Wow... just, wow. On the one hand that's awsome but it's also pretty retarded. Talk about overkill. Like lighting a cigarette with a flamethrower.
September 12, 200619 yr It was neat when it came out, but the novelty has worn off somewhat. Now, why not put a 4.7 V8 in there and sell it as a Jeep? 192301 B...but it wouldn't be Trail Rated!!!!! Oh wait...
September 12, 200619 yr It was neat when it came out, but the novelty has worn off somewhat. Now, why not put a 4.7 V8 in there and sell it as a Jeep? 192301 Because Dodge's 4.7L V8 is a piece of $h!.
September 12, 200619 yr Has that ever stopped them before? But yeah, I too wonder why that engine is still around. They either always stick it in something overweight or the engine is just underpowered. 192333 Both. That's what we have in the Durango... the thing's way underpowered. Add that to the Durango being a damn pig (even kinda looks like one) and you've got one $h!ty vehicle.Oh, and our Durango likes to stall out on us, too... and it's an '05.
September 12, 200619 yr The 4.7 will never be a 318 (5.2). The 318 engine is/was reliable as the Rock of Gibralter and could haul some pretty serious ass when equipped in the second-generation Dakota. The 4.7 is a led weight with eight-cylinders. Hey, DCX, make a new non-Hemi V8. The 4.7 is a anemic old mutt. Or. . .hmmm. . .how about a smaller Hemi (like a 4.5 or something)? Edited September 12, 200619 yr by YellowJacket894
September 13, 200619 yr Oooor not: "There has been no decision to produce the Dodge Tomahawk," Chrysler design spokesman Sam Locricchio told Leftlane News. "The vehicle remains a design exercise to underscore — in an extreme fashion — the performance elements that make up the Dodge brand," Mr. Locricchio said. "[The Tomahawk is] purely a concept to date." Upon further research, it seems the weblog that started the Tomahawk rumor was citing outdated information from shortly after the concept's deb Edited September 13, 200619 yr by Dodgefan
