September 12, 200619 yr AutoNation CEO Wants Greater Gas Taxes "We have to do something to favor the new technologies and send a message to American consumers that gasoline prices are going to be systematically higher," he said. "A gas tax is a statement from the government that this is an issue of national security and we're going to do something about it." Read "AutoNation CEO calls for higher gasoline taxes" @ Yahoo (how very appropriate)
September 12, 200619 yr a tax would make it statiscally higher... right?.... no it's a never ending cycle till something else truely replaces gas, as in not in car collectors lives'...
September 12, 200619 yr How about a higher gas tax just for this clown and all the other moron democrat types that love taxes.
September 12, 200619 yr I don't think North American's need to pay more taxes. What we DO need is some governments with backbone and leaders who can actually have a clue as to what the future could look like a few years on.
September 14, 200619 yr Well isnt this guy a real moron. It just goes to show the type of ignorant educated idiots that are running the show and yes indeed its a real circus ! First there is already so much tax on gas its stupid. Second this higher gasoline price only punishes the working poor. the $80,000+ crowd either wont bat an eye or will just cry to hear themselves cry. Still their wife will be running to the cosmotologist with the big four wheel drive, in the middle of the summer, on flat land. If our government wants to send out a message of national security they will start looking after their own people at home and in the work place and get the scales back toward balance. Wonder what this "CEO" knocks down a year ? Wonder how much less it is than the Oil company "CEO's" have been doing..........I hear times have been pretty tuff for them poor fellows....... Ah, ta heck with it, it doesnt matter, lets all
