A few pictures from the Barrie autoshow in Ontario. Taken by polish_kris.

The Hyundai Accent 3-door Enthusiast Accessories package.

AKA The Hyundai Accent 3-door Premium.

AKA Hyundai Ready Rice.

A very neat car. It basically reminds me of a 96 Civic hatch, all done up from the factory. The rep said that this car was specially made for the show, and that Hyundai is strongly considering building it. Check out that 10" Subwoofer in the trunk!

Goofy, but better looking than the Yaris.

Not sure I like the skegs on the rear bumper. Cadillac pulled it off much more elegantly back in '61.

Overall, not bad for what it is.

If they build it, they should not stamp the word "enthusiast" anywhere on the car. That's just wrong.

I think they SHOULD. The world always needs a clown.

Wish it were more like the SR concept...

But being that it kept some of the general look of it, I guess it could be riced out to look like it. :P

I liked the SR a lot, looked very good. I saw a 3-door Accent last week in blue, I have to say it looks pretty nice.

Hyundai still has a long ways to go.

It looks better than the Fit or the Yaris.

Smoked lights on both ends would help a lot.

It looks better than the Fit or the Yaris.

I disagree. They all look awkward in their own way, but the Yaris and Fit at least look modern, and not 90's like this.

I further disagree. The Fit looks like it is from the 90's, the Yaris looks modern, if not exactly pretty. I like the Fit's interior a lot though, easily best in class IMO.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I'm shocked to see it have a strut tower bar...

I'm surprised it isn't a cheapo hinged one, and actually a solid strut brace. Although it does look like it is made of plastic.

Well the Fit in its current body style was introduced in 2002 in Europe and Japan, and just now made its way to America. So it is not a new body style by any means.

Well, I'll agree with Siegen on the 90's comment. The interior is nothing but that, and the front styling is no better than the Elantra. Again, I wish it looked more like the SR concept. Now it looked thoroughly modern.

I saw a top-of-the-line '07 Accent hatch parked on my street, in black, and top-of-the-line matte Hyundai alluminum rims, must say, it caught my eye, a huge improvement over the previous gen...

I for one hope there's an option package that includes more tacky add-ons & extra panel seams. Maybe then most people might miss the fact it's still a hyundai.
