The vehicle began as a Pontiac Fiero powered by a 2.8 liter fuel-injected V6 engine with automatic transmission. Extensive mechanical modifications were required to convert into the vehicle it is today. As much of the running gear as possible was retained to maintain reliability and replace ability anywhere and at any time.

All passenger compartment heating and cooling systems from the original Fiero vehicle have been retained to allow for operator comfort.

And staying true to its Fiero roots...

Should an engine fire occur, a Halon system is installed which fills the compartment; the shrouding helps maintain this Halon-rich environment, excluding oxygen and helping to extinguish the flames.

Laugh as one may, alot of work was done to this thing. Very interesting read. More details

Is that a prop from the movie Alien?

and whatever you do... avoid speed bumps at all costs

That thing looks crazy!

..I want a cool car, not a hot one. :P And I love my Millenia.

Looks awful dicey: seller has zero feedback, auction says a rear view is available and it links to the page Fly linked to... with no rear shot. No interior shots. Photo of car 'on sand dunes' is marginally clearer than 1950's UFO pics.

If you read the 42 questions asked, the seller is a notoriously bad speller ('know' instead of 'no', 'write' instead of 'right', etc)- certainly not proof of anything, but not a good sign in my book.
