gas prices continue to drop--maybe theres still some hope.

but

Asked whether OPEC would cut production at its December meeting, Daukoru said: "Something needs to be done to steady the price. That's all I can say."

but then again:

"Prices are still at good levels," Kuwait's Energy Minister Sheikh Ali al-Jarrah al-Sabah told Dubai-based Al Arabiya television, according to Reuters. Matters would be left for the next OPEC meeting, he said.

Crude has fallen over 23 percent from a record trading high of $78.40 in July, selling off rapidly over the last couple of weeks.

so if 60 is "good" why the hell was it almost 80? supposed to go over 100?

are we making a difference in some way with ethanol, conservation, boycotts, and prius' and hybrids in general. or does this have more to do with the usual seasonal

changes in demand. which really werent so usual since the past couple of years.

ive heard several "analysts" suggest months ago oil and gas prices would plummet at some point. i remember laughing at the time because one of the qualifiers was when things settle down in the mid east. like thats ever likely

to happen. but here we are in some strange way.

so maybe there is hope.

I'm sure it'll be back up again next summer, probably $3.50+ per gallon. Don't forget that it's an election year...

funny and true. especially if the republicans lose the majority during these mid term elections, a couple of phone calls later and gas is back up to 3 and change.

its just weird how a few years ago gas was say a buck nine then summer came and it shot up to 1.14...and it was like wow...must be summer.

theres no reason for price to jump up 200% unless its a result of gouging and unfair biz practices. and given record profits and billion dolalr retirement pax it should certainly be raising more questions---and probably has.
