October 4, 200619 yr Spied: New Dodge Sprinter Meet the newest competitor in the always exciting fullsize van market: the new Dodge Sprinter. This particular version has some new and thrilling features like two rear windshield wipers and a sporty angled crease on the side. Take a look for yourself. October 5, 200619 yr For what vans are really used for, these are genuinely good vans. These and the GM twins are pretty much top-of-the-line. Econolines are there for the hell of it.
October 5, 200619 yr these things seem so much more top heavy compared to the savannas....it's prolly a great cargo van, i know a few of our suppliers use them, .... is it safety required, but what's up w/ the slopping down outside to inside windows in the back? (the bottom of the window, like the enclave has)
October 5, 200619 yr Very nice. Is it still diesel powered? The current Sprinter gets excellent gas mileage.
October 5, 200619 yr From what I can see it's a diffinate improvement over the old one. That rear door design is prettyu neat looking. Hopefully this time around it will get a more powerful diesel.
October 6, 200619 yr It's the Mercedes of vans. 201837 Isn't the R class the Mercedes of vans? :AH-HA_wink: No, no, I'm wrong... Mercedes doesn't have a van of any sort!
October 6, 200619 yr Isn't the R class the Mercedes of vans? :AH-HA_wink: No, no, I'm wrong... Mercedes doesn't have a van of any sort! 201856 Not in the States, but the Sprinter is the Mercedes van with a a Dodge logo.
October 6, 200619 yr Very nice. Is it still diesel powered? The current Sprinter gets excellent gas mileage. 201509 I hear the sprinter gets mid 20's, but that's cuz its a diesel. sprinters are great commercial vans.
October 6, 200619 yr sprinters are great commercial vans. 201903 and great motorhomes also
October 6, 200619 yr and great motorhomes also 201950 Hey, that looks pretty good as a motorhome!
October 7, 200619 yr They really are great vans. For local road use they beat GM's vans, on the highway, GM's vans are better. I also like the fact that MB has made some styling changes that make the new one look less like a work truck. Demand must be good because aside from the Viper and a few high-end MB models, Sprinter is about the only DCAG vehicle not in the employee purchase plan.
November 2, 200619 yr Looks like a '97 Trans Sport Montana stretched upwards. Edited November 2, 200619 yr by C.H.U.D.

November 2, 200619 yr Not in the States, but the Sprinter is the Mercedes van with a a Dodge logo. 201872 There are several Sprinters around here that have the M-B grille and badging...also the Freightliner ones.
