September 17, 200520 yr According to this USA Today article(2nd paragraph), the Tahoe will be shown next Tuesday at the Texas Sate Fair.:booyah: I know several people on here hinted at it. For a GM fan site, I'm suprised this wasn't on here yet. :P EDIT: More info starting on page 69 of the GMT900 discussion 2 at GM Inside News. Edited September 17, 200520 yr by !!!TED!!!
September 17, 200520 yr There does exist a thread which discussed the debut of some of the GMT 900's at the Texas State Fair... I just don't know which thread  EDIT: found the thread click here Edited September 17, 200520 yr by AAS
September 17, 200520 yr Author [SIZE=1][SIZE=1][SIZE=1]Uhh...No The texas State fair starts the 30Th Tuesdays the 20th. [post="15577"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Ya, just looked at the site. A week from this Tuesday. There is a section on the site that says "2007 Tahoe comming soon."
September 17, 200520 yr Thought I'd port this post over: The truths will be revealed very soon. Also recommended that everyone watch/tape the NBC Today show on Wednesday.
September 17, 200520 yr Author Mayby GM is showing them before the fair? The article doesn't say where they are being shown. I just assumed the fair, because that's where everyone's said so far.
September 17, 200520 yr I have no idea where they would be showing it. There are no new auto shows until the one at the Texas State Fair, so it must be something we don't know anything about.
September 17, 200520 yr According to AutoNews info, the only automotive events going on on Tuesday are the Auto Finance Summit and Expo 2005 and International Automotive Body Congress.
September 17, 200520 yr The Tuesday date has to be confused with the media release. The USA Today I believe got their dates wrong.
September 17, 200520 yr THERE IS A DEALER WEBSITE i HAVE ACCESS TO THAT STATES "CHECK IN SEPT 21ST FOR NEW CHEVY TAHOE LAUNCH SITE" I WOULD ASSUME THIS MEANS UNVAILING ON THE 20TH PICS ON THE 21ST
September 17, 200520 yr ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh the 20th. http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/AH-HA_wink.gif [post="15727"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] Awesome... it's like x-mas before the 25th of Dec! Except like one of those x-mas's where you asked for a Camaro, but got a brand new Tahoe instead...
September 17, 200520 yr Go here for a sneak preview. http://www.bigtex.com/img/2005/auto/auto_c...ahoe_teaser.jpg
September 18, 200520 yr Why aniheim? Because it's in the biggest car market in the country, and one where GM hasn't done so well in a while?
September 18, 200520 yr Last year GM debuted the H3 at Anaheim, and I think the GP GXP too. Anyways, they said they debuted it there last year so that they could spread out the debuts because they had too many if they debuted them all at two or three shows. A while back I actually thought that Anaheim was a possibility for the Escalade debut since it's probably pretty popular over there, but I guess maybe they want to give the Yukon a good image over there so they can sell boatloads of Denalis.
September 18, 200520 yr Author The Yukon is being debuted in Anaheim I believe. [post="15826"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] On the 20th, or another date? I assume public would be allowed in? If its on the 20th, I may go see what's there. Yes, the Escalade and Yukon are popular in OC.
September 18, 200520 yr No, the Anaheim show is at a later date, not on the 20th. [post="16175"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] According to the website it's October 5-9! So we won't have to wait long before we can see the Yukon, Escalade and maybe some more 900's.
September 18, 200520 yr Well I can hardly wait to see any of them. The sooner the better. I hope someone gets pictures and posts them as soon as possible.
September 19, 200520 yr Wonder what we'll actually get....some quick, basic shots showing the inside/outside taken outside the factory, showing the inside/outside of the Tahoe, or the usual horrible GM "professional" shots with bad lighting, bad vehicle coloring, and bad angles? Either way, we've already seen nearly everything there is to see on the outside, so it will be the interior and the new features/options that will be of most interest.
September 19, 200520 yr I knew it! Texas State Fair is ideal because of the recent developments in Texas regarding Toyota. (I'm sure they'll own Texas in a few years) I'm liking this new, more aggressive GM.

It's not a new idea or anything.
September 20, 200520 yr Well, seems like 9am tomorrow is THE time....keep your eyes out and your mouse clicking! http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/AH-HA_wink.gif Edited September 20, 200520 yr by caddycruiser
September 20, 200520 yr I wish the embargo was tonight, as I'll be in school tomorrow when the pics are released :(
September 20, 200520 yr Sept. 20th.... My Ex-Girlfrieand Misty's, college buddy Kevin's and old H.S. buddy Alex's birthday.
September 20, 200520 yr Umm no. The 900's are realeased in 2 Hours and 42 minutes! [post="16945"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post] According to someone on GMI who contacted a GM media rep (along with others), the info. won't officially be published until 9am, because GM never does the "midnight thing" because no one is working at that time to put it up. So don't expect to see anything until at least 9, or a little bit thereafter, tomorrow morning. http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/AH-HA_wink.gif

Remember, these times come straight from our sources at GM and they are in a certain level of flux until the press releases are actually put out there. We're always at the whim of GM Media and there have been times when they got the jump on us or pushed back a time from a previously-given one. We always try our best to cope and pass the word on to everyone.
September 20, 200520 yr What's the actual site that stuff will be posted to FIRST? I know it will find its way here as quickly as possible, but is it first going on media.gm.com or something else?
September 20, 200520 yr It will probably be on media.gm.com first unless someone else breaks the embargo.
September 20, 200520 yr 9 AM EST time? PST? Nevermind, I'm waking up at 6 tomorrow... ;) Edited September 20, 200520 yr by empowah
September 20, 200520 yr That had better not be the extent of the "introduction" slated for today. I want to see pictures. Is it 9:00 yet?
