It won by 2.6 seconds, which is quite impressive, IMO.

It carried more speed through all corners and more g's through all but one.

Yea, thats no surprise. Even in road racing the Corvette and Porsche are not paired in the same catagory. Porsche still has established one hell of a record for a rear engined car.

If I did the driving, I'm pretty sure the 911 would do it quicker -- AWD and automatic. I'd wrap the Z06 around a tree.
