October 13, 200619 yr "What this means to you: It costs as much as a small house. But it's a lot faster than a house." Great line.
October 13, 200619 yr Yeah, but your house will usually appreciate in value, not to mention make you NOT look like a douchebag.
October 13, 200619 yr I'd love to know where you can buy a house for $100,000. Even the old run-down cottages to the north of DC will fetch more than $100 grand.

October 23, 200619 yr Alpine? Alpine is a sports car company owned by Renault, but which hasn't produced a model under their own name in decades. Alpina is the brand name of BMW's preferred tuner and customizer based in Germany. This car is neither.

October 23, 200619 yr ^^ This just reinforces my thoughts that real estate around DC is outlandishly expensive.
October 23, 200619 yr An average R1 residential house in my city costs $342,761, albeit in Canadian dollars, (but our currency is close to the States') On our West Side alone, that figure jumps to 1 to 1.2 Million.
October 23, 200619 yr Yeah, so, that house in a nice neighborhood with a school district... easily 750,000. Get into your nicer areas and that house would go for a million.

October 23, 200619 yr Perhaps this M6 convertible is more in your price range—only 289 Euro: https://shop.bmwgroup.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....tegoryName=LIFE
October 24, 200619 yr ^^ This just reinforces my thoughts that real estate around DC is outlandishly expensive. 207805[/snapback] As well as the San Francisco Bay area where I live. I always thought it was expensive to live out here in the bay Area, but damn I did not know it was that ridiculous. I live 60 miles east of San Francisco and my 2300 sq. ft. house with 3 bedrooms, a studio, 2.5 bathrooms and a 3 car garage is $500,000+ and I don't even live in an exclusive neighborhood. Looks like retirement in 20 years will be out of state! edited for the following: I guess my doctor sister will now want to upgrade her convertible 645 to maintain her good status.
