So what's the problem, anyways; destroying a Suzuki Sidekick is fine with me

Booyah - Don't say that without considering other consequences. It would be much harder to offer the levels of services that Canada offers without the tax base we currently have. They have a lot of population. Besides, that would split Canada in half. The Maritimes would be out there by themselves!

True Yellow Dart. Captainbooyah I see you have the OCC SIlveraod in your sig. i need to put the 427 Silveraod in mine sometime. I want to keep the Mako Shark a while longer.

Oh don't worry about that. You and I know that Quebec would likely come crawling back after a couple years ^_^ ... hell, maybe they'll even sign our Charter of Rights!

... the place is already receiving equalization due to its "have not" status, and isn't exactly doing well in terms of a tax base, especially with declining manufacturing.

I don't really want to go on a rant here, but much of their population still seems to be bent out of shape with the rest of Canada... what else explains the fact they elect plenty of the seperatist Bloc Party MP's into our parliament, even though other parties, NDP, Liberal & Conservative, are trying to cater to the Quebec population.

A good amount of Canada's revenue already comes from our way and Alberta and Ontario and that'll only increase in the future. I'd rather see my tax dollars go to propping up the people in the Maritimes who are proud Canadian's and love the country, and will happily post bilingual signage with both languages given an equal font.

Without Canada, Quebec would literally starve. They refuse to admit it, so I'm for cutting the umbilical cord, if only to smack them in the back of the head so they realize that there is a federation of nine other provinces.
