October 30, 200619 yr GM @ SEMA2006 Chevrolet Camaro (Reggie Jackson) Showcasing GM Powertrain's new LSX engine
October 30, 200619 yr I just KNEW all of you haters of the concept would get your wish! Looks just like the '69 you asked for...and they even left out the airbags for that truly 'old-fee' you kids were screeming for. Great job GM. On a serious note...wow. Hot car!
October 30, 200619 yr I think Sixty8 may be too busy cleaning up the mess in his pants to post on this for a while.
October 30, 200619 yr Hotness....now I wanna see the `Cuda with the 850 hp Hemi, all disc all independent suspension.
October 30, 200619 yr This car is just so right! Is there any GM-issued text for it? More info on the engine?
October 30, 200619 yr NICE!!!!! edit.... looks like possible injection ports right above the heads, but were filled in, cause it's carburatted of course! Edited October 30, 200619 yr by loki
October 31, 200619 yr Hmmm... the side marker lights are filled in. how much do you guys wanna bet that is one of those Dynacorn bodies and not a "real" Camaro?
October 31, 200619 yr It probably is, but you know what that means? One more 1st generation Camaro out there for the rest of us
November 1, 200619 yr found a link with alot more info...here it's a 454 w/ heads similar to the 427's and an LS block, among other things. At Warren Johnson’s dynamometer facility, the LSX engine produced 641 horsepower and 611 lb.-ft. of torque. More than the peak numbers, however, is the engine’s Kansas-flat power band. The engine makes 520 lb.-ft. of torque at only 3,000 rpm, with torque rising steadily throughout the rev range.
November 2, 200619 yr Thanks for the link,Loki. I am even more in love with this car now(and the way it was put together). I think I need to build something for myself following this style of modification. 454 is a magic number for me.
