November 15, 200619 yr Edmunds Evaluation: 2007 Acura MDX Normally, trying to be all things to all people is a six-lane freeway to suckitude. This is the downfall of focus-grouped design-by-committee automaking, which waters creativity down to the point of the lowest common denominator. Death by clinic. With its all-new Megatron-faced 2007 MDX, Acura wants the MDX to be mentioned in the same breath as the Porsche Cayenne and BMW X5. Doing so required the new MDX to be a much hotter tamale than the lame-duck MDX in nearly every way, so Acura endowed the 2007 model with a formidable dynamic repertoire. Effectively negotiating the opposing tables of performance, utility and comfort is a delicate balancing act that the smarter, buffer MDX pulls off convincingly. Edmunds
November 15, 200619 yr I was going to post this, just saw it today. God that's an ugly color for a vehicle. They could have at least gone with silver.
November 16, 200619 yr Actually this truck I found to be ugly as hell when I saw it in pictures It looks totally different and better in person, much better, I'm impressed that Acura is beginning to style cars nicely again
November 16, 200619 yr I've seen quite a few and t hey really do look like XL7s, particularly in white.
November 16, 200619 yr that interior is somewhat tasty in those pics. why does it look like feces in black? not a fan of the 2000 buttons on the center stack those.
November 16, 200619 yr While not breathtaking, this and the RDX seem to look better in real life than in pics.
November 16, 200619 yr Holy Moses, that grill is ugly as hell! Typically fantastic Acura interior, though.
November 17, 200619 yr Love the MDX. 216595 I do, too. I think the grille adds a lot to its character. The interior is still a turn-off, though, with all that wood (Edmunds made it seem like it is fake, is it?) and the many buttons with the upgraded stereo system.
November 17, 200619 yr What's the deal with the extra plastic in the grille? 216347 According to another pic I've seen, the "extra plastic" is actually a very fine mesh. Haven't seen one in person, though.
