Pontiaction: 3,600 Workers to be Relocated

General Motors Corp. said Wednesday it will move 3,660 workers out of Pontiac to other metro Detroit offices by the first quarter of 2008 in an effort to become more efficient.

Most of the workers will relocate to GM's technical center in Warren, and others will go to the corporate headquarters in downtown Detroit.

No jobs are to be lost in the moves, which will allow GM to get rid of excess office space created through years of restructuring and retirement, GM spokesman Dan Flores said.

What location in Pontiac regarding Pontiac is this? This is NOT the longtime PMD headquarters building, correct; that was abandoned some recent years ago IIRC.

I don't see any reason people would complain over this except for the minor inconvenience of the moving process.
