November 16, 200619 yr I need a history report on a 1988 Dodge Aries LE. It is for sale at my local Toyota dealer for $200. The salesman who I know pretty well said it was driven by an old lady who died and his buddy bought it. It currently has 41,000 kms according to him but I dont think that is right. It only has a 5 digit odometer so that is what it reads. It does run really nice but it needs new rear struts and the rust needs to be bondoed up. The car what rust proofed except for behind the drivers side passenger door and behind the rear wheels. If someone could PM me if they end up with one. I would really appreciate it. The VIN is 1B3BD46D8JC286776. Thanks. I really appreciate it. This would be my first car so I need to find out.
November 17, 200619 yr Dude a Dodge Aries? we used to own a wagon and the Reliant sedan! They were durable cars but rusted out pretty bad.
November 17, 200619 yr Author This one isn't that bad with rust. It's $200!!!!! You can't go wrong with that. Parts are pretty cheap for it.

November 17, 200619 yr If this is what you might end up getting... I change my mind. Go for the Fiero, damnit.
November 17, 200619 yr If the car is a junk, just imagine spending $200 in a casino and you did not win anything.
November 17, 200619 yr If it just starts running like crap just see what you can do to it before it finally dies for good. And be sure to record it and put it on Youtube.
November 17, 200619 yr Dude have you considered a Shadow? Maybe with a 2.2 turbo? I've driven one with it and it's damn quick even with the automatic...If it wasn't for the fact that my gf is hell-bent on a newer car, I'd be looking for one now.
November 17, 200619 yr The car is actually pretty good. 216820[/snapback] then for $200, what are you worried about?
November 17, 200619 yr It's a K-car on a Toyota lot, I'm guessing you could talk him down another $400.
November 18, 200619 yr Author I dont trust the guy and what he said about it. However, I have considered more cars. My Chrysler dealer has a 98 Neon that came in on trade-in with under 200,000kms. He said it would be around $1000 or under. I also found 3 1993-95 Mercury Sables for $500. They looked to be in excellent condition.
