November 17, 200619 yr Author Nice option package. It would look even better with big rugged off-road wheels/tires. And even better with two doors and lift-off roof.

November 17, 200619 yr Author Could someone do a chop of this....making it into a 2-door Blazer style? It would be great to see what it would look like and put big honkin tires on it too.
November 18, 200619 yr • Z71-specific gauge cluster anything actually different or just a badging thing?
November 18, 200619 yr anything actually different or just a badging thing? 216978 It has a carbon fiber background and says Z71, versus just the plain black on the other models: Small difference, but noticeable. Edited November 18, 200619 yr by caddycruiser
November 18, 200619 yr Oooh, Ooooh! Avalanche?!? Oh please God, let there be an Avalanche model of this!
November 18, 200619 yr Oooh, Ooooh! Avalanche?!? Oh please God, let there be an Avalanche model of this! 217100 There's a Tahoe, Suburban, and Avalanche--all with the same trim. The Z71 package is a $1795 add-on to any LT2 or LT3 level model, 2wd or 4wd. Here's a lot of other pics, of each of the 3 models: White Suburban Z71: Red Tahoe Z71: Edited November 18, 200619 yr by caddycruiser
November 18, 200619 yr And official GM illustration/pic: Some shots of Avalanches & Tahoes at a dealer:
November 18, 200619 yr And a black Avalanche Z71: WHEW! That should answer questions for a lot of people... :AH-HA_wink:
November 18, 200619 yr Author WOW. Great pics! I like it alot on the Avalanche and the Tahoe is deep red looks very nice.
November 18, 200619 yr Yep, it's definately a cool look. Just like with the last gen models, I have a feeling it'll probably be the most popular (or close to) trim too, once production is fully ramped up. Right now it seems that whenever one arrives, it's instantly sold.
November 21, 200619 yr They no longer put the Z71 stickers on the Avalanche? I guess thats ok, cause it gives it a nice clean look!
November 21, 200619 yr I don't know if I really like the Z71 look. It looks tougher but tougher doesn't necessarily mean better. The interior is definitely nice with the two-tone though.
November 21, 200619 yr A black Tahoe Z71: 217134 It would be nice to be able to order this appearance package on a 2WD version, instead of only on a 4WD model. AND...... when will GM get smart and offer a roof rack DELETE option on regular models instead of taking it off only on the SS model? Many people don't realize the fuel cost that the drag from that little-used appendage costs!
November 21, 200619 yr It would be nice to be able to order this appearance package on a 2WD version, instead of only on a 4WD model. ... 218222 Z71 badging (”Z71″ on 2WD, “Z71 4×4″ on 4×4) So... based on Harley's original post, I'm assuming it is available on 2WD models.
December 7, 200619 yr A little too timid for me.... It like the nose is missing something now, or the wheels are too small for the arches or something. Doesn't look bad, just not as appealing to me as the old one.
December 7, 200619 yr lovin the front end, except for the different colour bumper section. Which car companies dumb idea was it to start this trend?
December 10, 200619 yr These things are sweet, I though I liked the LTZ's the best, nope now I am hooked on Z71's!
December 15, 200619 yr The new GMT900 Tahoe/Suburban are to me the most beautiful vehicles ever made. I hope this body style hangs around for at least 5 years as it just looks good. Edited December 15, 200619 yr by XM DUDE

December 17, 200619 yr I haven't seen any of those running around up here. I love the AV. Shoulda waited when we got ours. Damn. K.C.
December 19, 200619 yr Those Z71s have some interesting touches..haven't seen any yet. For some reason, when I was out and about Saturday I saw 3 new Suburbans, all dark blue... (I'm assuming they were different and not the same vehicle, as they were in 3 different places around the metro area, unless someone had the same route I did.. or it's one of my enemies and they were shadowing me) Edited December 19, 200619 yr by moltar
December 29, 200619 yr I love the new front bumper, it's nice to see the Z71 with its own look rather than it just being a sticker. Now I hope the new bumper and satin chrome look is added to the pick-ups as well, if not that would just be upseting seeing as the Z71 name was built on the silverado. I still have people offer to buy my 93 Z71 ext cab.
January 4, 200719 yr I really do like 'em. Although I have to agree, the wheels are tooo small. Gimme some good mud boggers on there and you'd have a perfect, from the factory, package.
