November 20, 200619 yr Not a Camry so you can give him a nice T-Bone? 217741 It'd be more fun with a Yaris.

November 20, 200619 yr She looks great, Fly. Have you ever thought of selling your story to Disney? I think it'd make a great movie, one that I'd go see.
November 20, 200619 yr MMMMMMMMMMMM, maybe it will be a SCION this time? A nice qute, hopped up Xb......
November 20, 200619 yr Fly is it me or does the color on the fender not quite match the rest of the car?
November 20, 200619 yr Have you ever thought of selling your story to Disney? I think it'd make a great movie, one that I'd go see. 217829 They'd have to make the car talk... and it'll probably have Robin Williams' voice and the main actor will be Tim Allen. Maybe they can throw in Gary Coleman as the insurance adjuster, and that script will write itself. Edited November 20, 200619 yr by Captainbooyah
November 20, 200619 yr Author Fly is it me or does the color on the fender not quite match the rest of the car? 217923 I noticed that, too. Its a combination of the poor lighting and the fact that half the car has <2 year-old paint and the other half - including the driver's side - is 10 years old. It actually looks fine in the daylight.
November 21, 200619 yr Yeah, that kind of jumped off the photo, the paint match thing. Glad it looks better in normal light. Metallics can also have a problem with "flop", where the appearance of the color looks different to the eye depending on which angle you are looking from, caused by the way the metallic flakes lay when sprayed.
November 21, 200619 yr Author FYI, I plan on having the remaining body panels (roof, driver and left rear doors, trunk, and rear left fender) repainted at some point so the car not only looks better, but will 'age' more evenly.
November 21, 200619 yr Please insist on a teardown of the panels to be painted... remove all trim, bumpers and lights. Tapelines can cause clearcoat peelback and nasty overspray on the edges of said trim if it is not removed.

November 21, 200619 yr Looking good, keep your fingers crossed and get her blessed by a priest/minister/rabbi or whatever... you need all the help you can get with all those idiot drivers down in FL.
November 21, 200619 yr Glad to see the Aurora back,Fly. Care to tell the story? I hope Progressive has a bloody nose after the way they treated you.
November 21, 200619 yr This Oldsmobile obsessive has a bit of a tear in his eye....... Ive been wondering, Id really like to hear abit about it, like what went on with the title and have the so called sabresaw "appraisers" been deported yet ?.....
November 21, 200619 yr Author New shots for the curious. I may submit one for the calendar. I'll wrap up the 'saga' later.
November 22, 200619 yr Hey Fly, 2nd picture from the top - I think you missed some damage; looks like a baseball sized dent in the door... Just kiddding! It looks great. I hope my SKY, once repaired, looks just as new as your Aurora does. Like many here have already said, I too would be interested in reading the rest of the saga (and it might help me when dealing with Allstate). Edited November 22, 200619 yr by GMTruckGuy74
