In case a certain C&Ger is still interested, this one is for sale.

$36,000, a mere drop in the bucket for an Opera Pimp. I think this one was owned by Huggy Bear.

:P

On eof the most strangest but coolest Caddys ever. Where's Bobo?
Ooooohhhh... :) Gorgeous. The gray over burgandy is absolutely fetching.

Here's an unattractive specimen for sale for $19,000:

I'm sorry, but that Mark V-esque opera window is gaudy. However, This one looks pretty good, for only $11,750:

The paint job looks good except for how the two-tone paint sweeps down with that kink.

This "Eldomino" is a curiosity, for $6500:

In their time and era... they were grand. Hey, Excalibur couldn't have all the fun. :)

There certainly was a flurry of custom activity around Cadillac in the late '70s- perhaps not equalled in volume since the '30s, yet I have never seen a single 2-dr Seville conversion (pickup, Opera Coupe or convert). The Seville 2-seat convertibles (no sidemounts) are sweet.

The slantback Sevilles abandonment of the sweepspear is puzzling- that simple molding really ties the design together. The 'Eldocamino is downright awful; nothing degrades a Cadillac quicker than an outright Chevy rear. {shudder}

I've yet to see any of these cars in real life too.

I've seen some of the convertible conversions years ago at the Chicago Auto show,
but the price tags.......... if you had to ask, you shouldn't own one! :o
The vert Balthy posted looks pretty good. The opera coupe looks a bit icky. I'm just going to go on pretending the Eldcamino never existed.
