November 24, 200619 yr I think the focus will actually be both cars and seeing just how they stack up. They're both major products for both companies respectively.
November 24, 200619 yr Guys, Guys, Guys. the Malibu and the Accord! This show's ALL about the Changfeng lineup!
November 24, 200619 yr This show's ALL about the Changfeng lineup! 219261 Ah yes, like America needs ANOTHER Mitsubishi. Joy.
November 24, 200619 yr Changfeng Group -- Liebao CS6 and CS7 SUVs, CY3 and CY6 pickups and concept vehicle 219190 This is the Liebao. Its equipments include ABS, steering wheel, silver bumper, syringe, and a 'stepney.' Look familar? Chang Feng ressembles and distributes Pajeros in China. That's right, they build Mitsuibishis. That should be a good litmus for quality. They also make fine hotel furniture like this chair. Check it out. Clicky
November 24, 200619 yr Actually, I found the models I guess they plan to show at NAIAS... CS6 - GX meets Terraza CS7 - Tribeca meets RX Like their logo? Looks like an L from a distance.
November 24, 200619 yr I'm seriously five seconds sort of throwing up. 219287 If that CS7 had a sweapspear down the side, it would look like a Buick (a retro 50's Buick baby CUV).
November 24, 200619 yr Those things are Godawefully Hideous. Even a turd will say that it looks like $h!.
November 24, 200619 yr Might we also see a Saturn Astra model? It is about a year away so I wouldn't be too surprised.
November 24, 200619 yr I would love to walk around Chengfang stand at NAIAS wearing a t-shirt that says "Lexus called: it wants its logo back."
November 24, 200619 yr Might we also see a Saturn Astra model? It is about a year away so I wouldn't be too surprised. 219342 That'd be sweet, and you're right - the Ion stops production in March, and the Astra is supposed to be coming around in late '07 IIRC. It's gotta show up at an auto show soon, I would think.
November 24, 200619 yr When looking at the list, I had a strange deja vu-but its a good start of a list-can't wait to see Malibu and CTS especially! The smaller Chinese SUV looks nice, but I don't like the boxy one as much, and hopefully there will be Dodge and other Ford and GM concept car unveils.
November 24, 200619 yr CS6 - GX meets Terraza 219273 Wow... just... wow... :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
November 26, 200619 yr Actually, I found the models I guess they plan to show at NAIAS... CS6 - GX meets Terraza 219273 Nuff said.
November 29, 200619 yr Might we also see a Saturn Astra model? It is about a year away so I wouldn't be too surprised. 219342 If I were a betting man, I'd say New York. I tend to remember Saturn unveiling the Aura and Outlook there for that upcoming fall/winter which reminds me that the Astra is supposed to be here in the upcoming fall/winter.
December 1, 200619 yr Author Nissan announced a second concept to be shown in Detroit named the Bevel. It's described as a "sleek panel truck".
December 6, 200619 yr Author The Fairlane has been removed from the list. Ford will not be showing it in Detroit. For details: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=13976
December 7, 200619 yr while the 'BU and CTS will be a big deal... hopefully they've left off a few more that aren't on this list yet. any concept from GM? 224704 the H4 counts, right? it's not a definite quite yet...
December 7, 200619 yr Its a sad day when there's more import brand vehicles at a Detroit show than American ones, i.e. LA.
December 7, 200619 yr Its a sad day when there's more import brand vehicles at a Detroit show than American ones, i.e. LA.No, it's not. There are more import BRANDS than "domestic" brands. It's sheer numbers.
December 8, 200619 yr Author Got some new cars to update the list from this source: http://americajr.com/news/naias/2007/concept-cars.html
December 8, 200619 yr Got some new cars to update the list from this source: http://americajr.com/news/naias/2007/concept-cars.html 225116 Pontiac rear-wheel drive sedan uh oh... will this start the whole G8 name sucks! dispute? I'm sure people will have high hopes for this. Aston Martin DBRS9... could they just add a few more numbers to even it out? kinda rediculus, even if the car is phenomenal.
December 8, 200619 yr Author Just learned the "new" Focus is being shown in Detroit. Added. http://www.smartmoney.com/bn/on/index.cfm?...-1613&nav=pf_hp
December 11, 200619 yr Author I've reconciled the list of NAIAS production vehicles with America Jr.'s: http://americajr.com/news/naias/2007/production-models.html
December 11, 200619 yr You'd better believe that the Accord will steal the Malibu's thunder... It's a HONDA afterall, so I'm sure we'll hear LOTS of slurping even before it debuts. Of course, if the ugly new CR-V is any indication, I'm sure it'll be "too sophisticated" to be attractive.
December 11, 200619 yr No, it's not. There are more import BRANDS than "domestic" brands. It's sheer numbers. 225010 Love how DOMESTIC is in quotes... As if to imply that any import brand IS domestic in any capacity.
December 11, 200619 yr Its a sad day when there's more import brand vehicles at a Detroit show than American ones, i.e. LA. 224985 Get used to it, Detroit is on the way out.
December 11, 200619 yr It is a sad day, yes, but inevitable. Thirty five years ago, there was Chrysler, GM, Ford and VW. Toyopet, Datsun and others were a joke. Renault and Fiat were way off target. If you look at the models that the Big Three had then, each brand literally had 4 or 5 models. Trucks were, well, trucks. Nobody bought them, except farmers, contractors and people who actually needed them. Now, brands that barely existed then are now outselling much of what the Big 2.5 have to offer. I remember going to the Auto Show in '75 in Toronto (Malton, actually) and the GM area was half the building! Times have changed.
