My Dilemma

Featured Replies

My 18th birthday is definitely coming up and I have no idea what to do. I want to do something for sure. I've never really had an actual bday party, being that my cousin's is the same day and my family always grouped ours together. I was basically going to her parties and pretending that it was also mine. So yeah, for once I'd like to do something of my own and I'd like to do something meaningful being that I'm turning 18. I just don't know what. I'd rather not do something that includes my family as that's what it's always been. The only problem are my limitations. I'm not sure about doing something outside of Brookville or the surrounding towns. I'm not sure about what all I can even do within the area. I'm not sure of what I want, even. There's so much, yet so little I can do. So... I'm open to suggestions, hence the posting of this thread.

Tell your friends and maybe they'll get the hint and throw a surprise party.

Paintball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I thought you were 16?!

Well, paintball is fun... you could play laser tag (don't know if you have that around you), and not that I'm condoning this, but uh, there's always finding someone to get you a bottle of vodka and make screwdrivers while you play Texas Holdem :AH-HA_wink:

That could work, although it'd most likely be dinner and bowling. Maybe I can do that and something else. :D

Strip club

Hmm... I wonder where the nearest gay strip club is? :P

Uhm... I haven't been 16 since last year. This year I've been 17. In about a week and a half I'll be 18. Yay.

go to the Gettysburg dildo empourium.

My 18th birthday was one of the worst days of my life. Thank God my ex-girlfriend and her parents were understanding and tried to make the best of a really bad situation. So my advice is to (try to) have a good time whatever you do. Bowling is cool. How about going to a club? Kind of cheezy but you'll remember your first time.

Nearest thing to you that Google Maps is giving me is in Pittsburgh.

Screw the strip club... get a $5.00 Hooker!

...unless you have an aversion to the hiv' or clap.

Hmmm... some pretty good suggestions so far. In Maryland at the time, 18 was the legal drinking age. The next year, they switched it to 21. I was never really into it much, I hate feeling sick the next day and cotton mouth is for birdbrains.

Do you think you want to do something that you'll be newly "legal" for? Damn, I don't even know what's legal at 18.

Watching porn online? :)

IDK, BV, but you'll probably find something pretty gay to do.. pun intended. :D

time to start smoking after your daily ritual?

Now you can truthfully say that you are over 18 and can enter the site.

Wait-there was a age limit?

Since you seem to have nothing to do, I will not be jumping out of your cake this year. You'll have too much time setting up a plot to videotape and rape me. No thank you, Cory Wolfe from Brookville, PA. <_<

I see Nos has been to that website.

Figures.

Well... Smoking, pornography (buying and doing), lottery, buying certain things, being out past 11, sex with someone 4 or more years older than me... I think that's it. :P

So... I've been checking out Pegasus, in Pittsburgh, and I think I might just end up doing that. The only thing I'm seeing is that only one of my close friends is 18 and he will most likely not be able to go. He'd get jealous anyways, haha. I think I will go to this for myself, then have a low key party or whatnot with all my friends up here. Hmm, this could work. :P

Pegasus looks like great fun, but please be careful. I hope you're not planning on trying to drive home from there the same night.

Haha, IDK yet. It largely depends on a few different factors. :P

Bar?

  • Author

Well, it's a bar and dance club. On certain nights they allow 18-21 in, though for a small fee of $3. I imagine it's going to be fun, even though I'm not much of a dancer. How shy I am definitely holds me back there. Maybe being a gay club will open me up a bit. *looks innocent* :D

That's the thing. "Fresh meat" syndrome. It'd be fun to go, but I'd take someone with you. Bright lights, big city, but watch out for snakes. Not trying to hold you back from enjoying yourself, just want to make sure you're ok.

Haha... I know what you mean.
