GM says the package is essential to bringing additional work into the Town of Tonawanda facility. Spokeswoman Doris Powers Toney in Pontiac, Mich., said the automaker is considering renovating the facility "for the purpose of modernizing engine lines and volume for possible new work. "Until after the hearing, we won't have anything further," she said. "There is nothing new to report."
