I see no problem with it. He should be able to swear his oath on the book that represents his faith. It makes no sense for him to swear on the bible when his not of a Christian denomination.

Exactly! I think ALL elected officials should take their oath of office on the Constitution, as that's the document they are pledging to protect and defend, but if someone wishes to use their Faith's holy texts that's fine: Bible, Torah, Quran, Buddhist texts, whatever!
