September 21, 200520 yr Author For sure knightfan...I love ads from yesteryear as well, even more fun when it's Oldsmobile. Edited September 21, 200520 yr by HarleyEarl
September 22, 200520 yr Now I have love for that Starfire GT as well as Skyhawk Nighthawk. Set in bezeled twin sealed beams ! I always thought the old H body was kinda cool, I guess they were not really good cars though, bad in snow and some problems. But think about the styling ???? Was this the first "bubble car" ? Is this the first "arched top". Would the above red side profile look similar to a 350Z profile ? Would one of these in Buick Skyhawk form go like hell with a intercooled turboed B U I C K 3.8 ???? How about a 350 Olds in a Starfire, what the heck just place the 403. Regular unleaded and lots of torque, would make a great winter car ;-) that was a joke. Check out that red velour pillow & buttoned seat in that drop dead gorgous 74 Recency 2dr Hardtop. Damn that just makes me silly. Those cars have got to be collectable at some point in time.

September 22, 200520 yr I love the 70's Custom Cruisers. I have some ads from the curved dash (though not scanned in). I'll see about getting them scanned in for viewing this weekend.
September 27, 200520 yr Author thanks sixty8!...great ads...you got some good ones. I like the tagline on the one I posted...'Next to mink, Toronado is the most exciting animal around'....you all know about mink right? lol. I wonder if they thought of that when coming up with that?
