December 6, 200619 yr Balthazar, I found your Shangra-La. Vintage Chevy, Ford, Mopar, AMC Parts Lot The listing title is a cataclysmic understatement. Auction is for the largest known privately owned collection of vintage, high performance, and aftermarket car parts in the USA that has not been completely raped and pillaged. What is in the house alone is worth the opening bid. The value of this stuff just keeps going up (Thank You eBay). An NOS swivel base, knee-knocker Bowtie tach (one included here-shown in the cabinet) just sold on here for $2250. A partial list of the parts cars: 1970 Nova SS w/350-300hp-4spd-12 bolt Posi-AM/FM 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertible 1964 Nova "Chevy Thunder" drag car-355-fenderwell exit headers-automatic-narrowed 12 bolt Posi 1966 Ford Custom 2dr. post w/289 78 Monza pro-street w/700hp (without the nitrous) 358-Turbo 400-tubbed w/narrowed Ford 9 inch 1970 Charger R/T 440 (no motor or trans) 57 Chevy 2 dr post wagon- chopped & channeled 1970 Challenger w/340 built by Stub Fadden in the 1980's w/0 miles 1970 340-4spd. Covers 4 acres. There are over 1 million parts here plus the parts cars, but look at it this way: $30 x 50,000 equals $1.5 million. Start at the top, take the best 50,000 items here, sell them individually, and You WILL make an absolute killing. You big lottery winners, instead of just handing your family members the cash, buy this for them, and at least make them work a little bit for their money. Package deal only. Will not sell individual parts. For more information, call Bruce Cliche (owner) at (802)-454-7875. Thank You. "The vehicles included here are being sold for parts only and are not operational or street legal. eBay encourages its members to learn about their state laws governing vehicle sales prior to the sale or purchase of vehicles.”
December 6, 200619 yr So that's where old cars go to die. I'd love to just take a walk through there. So much history.
December 6, 200619 yr Holy crap ... I'd LOVE to OWN that .... *sighs* But, I can only daydream................ Cort:33swm."Mr MC" / "Mr Road Trip".pig valve.pacemaker Soon:new pics+revision = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/ "Why can't that be me?" ... 3 Doors Down ... 'If I Could Be Like That'
December 6, 200619 yr The name & the price seems awfully familiar circa a year or more ago, but the pics are different if I'm recalling correctly. Yeah- that'd be a literal Disneyland for me. I dream & daydream about getting my hands on a major stash like this. I would take a sabbatical from work and sell off this stuff daily, assuming I could keep from just sitting in these vehicles for hours & hours with a big sappy grin on my face. A friend of mine is about 75, has about 250-300 cars plus many many parts... I'm hoping he'll 'toss me a bone' in his will. Which reminds me; I haven't dropped in in many months (eyes tomorrow's schedule).
December 6, 200619 yr DIBS!!! I just want these five. 71 boat tail Riviera 71 GMC Sprint w/cowl hood-tach dash-12 bolt Posi 68 Mercury Cougar 59 Buick Invicta 71 383 Road Runner 20 Camaros? Well buddy it depends are 17 of them 1969s or are 14 of them 1978s? Should have listed some more specifics... probably mostly 2nd gen stuff. I also love how the ONLY car newer than mid-1970s that is listed is a 1994 Roadmaster.
December 6, 200619 yr Wow. Just..... wow. This guy is my hero! 224591 Right? Were it not for the 1932 Cadillac V16 in a secret warehouse in Maynard, this guy would put "Cadillac Bill" to shame. Still $1.5 million is too much, this guy is another "Barrett Jackson dreamer" WTF is going to have that kind of time... I'm all set listing 50,000 items on ebay and dealing wiht about 459,273 potential customer emails.
December 7, 200619 yr Perception can be deceptive those cars are probably a very ecclectic mix of a few diamonds in the rough, some real rot boxes and everything in between.
December 7, 200619 yr Is it just me, or do we wind up with a bunch of cloaked posts anymore? That junkyard looks awesome. Lots of cool cars there. Is that a '75 Firebird in the background?
December 7, 200619 yr Love the collection of flywheels housed in the built-ins next to the fireplace Edited December 7, 200619 yr by XP715
December 7, 200619 yr I would live to spend the day checking that place out. Its only 2 hours from my place but I'm not sure those German Sheppards would let me.
December 10, 200619 yr They have now posted the better part of 200 pics, just amazing. 225906 whaaaaat..... I gotta check it out again!
December 10, 200619 yr I heard something about how caburators should be kept cool at all times. I hope this Invicta Flattop goes to a good home. I have nothing against pack-rats, I am one myself... I think this guy is ery cool and all but the cold hard truth is that this stuff is NOT going to fetch $1.5 million as presented right now, and half of those "restorabel cars" are 40% rusty parts and 60% just plain RUST. It's Vermont not Arizona.
December 11, 200619 yr You know what woould be very cool? GM buying the restorable GM cars off of that lot....completely restoring them and resell them in larger GM showrooms...they could bring in a pretty penny and bring back a heritage aspect of the company.
