Need help choosing for real!

Featured Replies

the 4 choices are

2004 CTS 36k miles $17995

2006 Altima 2.5 w/ special edition package $20000

2007 Aura XE $20595

2006/7 Mercury Milan I-4 (maybe premiere) $18-20000

What do you guys think?

pls keep in mind that the car will be purchased cash and will only have 4k miles a year put on it

The Aura.

Skip the Altima. Seriously overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I actually like Nissan and the Altima, but twenty grand should get you more than a four-cylinder engine. Plus, more than likely, it was part of Nissan's big four-banger recall, and it should be discounted to less than twenty grand and be around seventeen grand tops.

225500[/snapback]

the altima is just a general figuer....we would only buy a new one

CTS all the way!

CTS

But, I wouldn't be able to deal with any of the others because of my strong dislike of FWD. So, feel free to discount my vote. 8)

um im for the mecury.

They are very nice cars.

Treat yourself to the CTS. HF 3.6L= ^_^

No Mazda? You suck. The 6 is atleast better than the Altima. :P

Caddy. Better quality and trust me you will love that 3.6L. Besides that someone else has already taken the depreciation for you without driving too much. So it is more investment for you than your other choices.

Go for it.

If the CTS checks out mechanically and RWD isn't an issue, that would get my vote. However, I also tend to be partial to brand new, unabused vehicles, so I wouldn't fault getting the Aura or Milan.

Out of the choices presented, I'd go CTS because its already taken the depreciation hit. For only 4k miles a year you can go a little older, better equipped for the same money and not worry too much about repairs or unloading it while its uber-upside-down.

If I were in this position I'd get an 80's Mercedes S class diesel. Luxury, decent price and they run forever.

Ya...I'd say CTS if RWD isn't a problem and you don't mind buyins used...otherwise get the Aura or Milan...

OK, I'm biased, but if you're only driving 4K/yr, how about an '01-'03 525i or 530i? There are tons out there for <$20K.

CTS, baby!

3.6 litre? Sounds good to me. The two tone interior is about as good as it gets in the current CTS.

Just, uh, get new wheels for it. :P
