December 14, 200619 yr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil%27s_Night Who had this where they grew up? The article says it's primarily around Detroit, but I definately experienced it growing up in Ontario. It was the night you could egg the house of the bully you hated. So, who else is familiar with it?
December 14, 200619 yr Mindless hooliganism. I remember seeing the burning houses on the news every year when I lived in Michigan.
December 14, 200619 yr On Long Island (and likely everywhere else), the hooligans would just egg, TP, and spray shaving cream on Halloween night, rather than the night before. And they don't pick any target in particular, either. By comparison, Devil's Night sounds rather mundane.
December 14, 200619 yr Of all the crazy stuff people do around the world on this night the Quebecians are the craziest and most violant... those insane French-canadians. In parts of Quebec, it is known as Mat Night, as stealing doormats was a common prank in earlier times.

December 14, 200619 yr In Detroit they set fire to houses. 227816[/snapback] Granted, that's pretty bad. I meant that egging "the house of the bully you hated" at least has some minute level of justification to it, rather than using the eggs for the purpose of bullying.
