December 14, 200619 yr DCX to Suspend Production of Several Models Jan. DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group will suspend production of some models in January to help reduce bloated inventories, several dealers said Wednesday. Affected models include some minivans, the Dodge Ram pickup, Jeep Commander and Liberty SUVs, the Dodge Magnum station wagon and the Chrysler PT Cruiser. To further pare its vehicle stockpile, Chrysler will build only 1,000 units each next month of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, midsize Dodge Dakota pickup, Chrysler 300 sedan and Aspen SUV next month. The cuts will idle all or part of production at several plants, including the Jefferson North Jeep plant in Detroit and the Dodge pickup factory in Warren. The Detroit News
December 14, 200619 yr I fail to see the humor in it. Anyway, I'm not surprised about any of these models except maybe the 300. It's a real shame the Magnum doesn't sell better...I love that thing.

December 14, 200619 yr I liked it too, but the interior killed it for me. 227822[/snapback] I didn't have a problem with the mid-level model my family had for a rental. It suited the car, IMO, and was above average. My dad was looking at the Magnum when it first came out and decided against it. His 2-year Altima lease is up sometime in mid-2007 so I am kind of hoping the incentives on the Magnum will be the same as they are now.
